Mayura , Lombok

     Mayura which means peacock in Sanskrit language , is the name of a park located in the built by AA Made Karangasem in 1744 with the name of the park Telepug which was taken from the sound of rushing water springs in the lake  the park.

      In 1866 this park in the renovation by the king of Mataram AA Ngurah Karangasem and replace the name to become a park Mayura , first community around this place believe that in this place there are many snakes that prey on the peacock which is widely available in the park.

      In the midst of this garden there is a floating building that is called the surrounding community as Bale . Bale was formerly in use to prosecute a case on Dutch colonial era and  now this place to become place good for visit . the location of this park on the street Selaparang Cakranegara , 3 km from Mataram.
